The Concord Academy Coach Training
NCSA is VERY excited to announce a fun and engaging coach training for our summer soccer experience (The Concord Academy). This is an opportunity to learn from part of our soccer leadership team (President, Technical Director, & Director of Coaching) all while watching 4 teams play/demonstrate on the SUNY Fredonia Turf Field.
Please feel free to spread the word to anyone you know who may be interested in being part of our NCSA summer soccer coaching experience. Players you would be helping fall in love with the game of soccer are 3-12 years of age.
Coaching is focused on facilitating. You don't have to be a soccer expert, or even a former player, to be able to coach in this environment. We will help you feel extremely confident and excited about coaching as you take part in this training.
We hope to see you this Saturday!
On Saturday, May 11th, meet us at Dods Hall (building 19), Room 101 at SUNY Fredonia in time for a prompt start at 9 am. Review the campus map, and park next to Dods Hall, off of Varsity Drive. Enter at the front entrance of the building. Brett Gould and I will do some brief introductions, explain the training and share NCSA’s vision for coaching. We'll even allow time for everyone to get a cup of coffee. Next we'll head to the turf where PJ, our Technical Director will run practices to show you how to construct activities to teach the children you'll be coaching to play the game.
We plan on (6) 15 minute modules that will help you to focus on important skills of the game like sending and receiving the ball, the first touch and various other vital soccer basics. After we complete the field training we'll return to the classroom and review other items like risk management and appropriate coach conduct.
We are very excited for this opportunity to be able to offer this support, and field use at SUNY Fredonia.
On behalf of your Techinical Director, PJ Gondek, our Director of Coaching, Brett Gould and the NCSA Board, thank you.
